Cookie & Tracking Notice
1. The Trippple mobile app
The Trippple iOS and Android apps:
- Do not use browser cookies (it's a native app).
- Do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android).
- Do not use third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or marketing SDKs.
What the app does store on your device:
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication tokens | iOS Keychain / Android Keystore (expo-secure-store) |
Keeps you signed in; encrypted at rest |
| App preferences (e.g., last-viewed city, recently viewed timestamps) | Local app storage (AsyncStorage) |
Improves your experience across launches; never sent to our servers |
These are not "tracking" — they are essential to running the app on your device.
2. The Trippple website
The marketing website at trippple.travel uses:
- Strictly necessary cookies / storage — only what's needed to render the site, such as session preferences if you change a setting on a particular page.
- No analytics cookies — we do not currently use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any equivalent.
- No advertising cookies — we do not currently run ad campaigns, retargeting, or social-network advertising pixels.
If we add any analytics or marketing technology in the future, we will update this notice and (where required by law, such as in the EEA, UK, or California) ask for your consent before activating it.
3. Third-party services we integrate
The mobile app integrates with the following services. Each operates under its own privacy practices:
- Google Sign-In — federated authentication when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Google Places — place metadata (names, photos, hours) when you add or view a place.
- Mapbox — map rendering.
- Render — application hosting and our backend API.
When you use a feature that calls one of these services, that service may receive technical information (IP address, request metadata) needed to fulfill your request. None of them are used to track you across other apps or websites.
4. Your choices
- In-app permissions — you can grant or revoke any device permission (location, photos, camera, microphone) in your device settings.
- Sign out — signing out clears the authentication tokens stored on your device.
- Delete your account — see the Privacy Policy section on Data Retention.
5. Updates
If we add tracking technologies (analytics, advertising, or otherwise) in the future, we will:
- Update this notice and the Privacy Policy
- Notify you in advance via email and an in-app notice
- Obtain consent where required by applicable law
